FAQ
The typical cost for a complete website design will always depend on the specific needs of what needs to be accomplished on the site.
Custom informational websites can range between $1400-$3200 typically. Websites with specialized features such as shopping mechanisms can range from $3200-$6800 typically.
I do not host websites myself but can recommend options to choose from depending on your needs. For basic sites, I would recommend A2 Hosting. For high-performance websites, I would web recommend WPEngine. I prefer that the client signs up for a website host on their own to keep everything in their name and control. Email accounts are also set up through the host. For a domain name provider, Hover, I would recommend using in tandem with the hosting provider for further control and flexibility.
Yes, it is important that I can be available for all of my clients. If you are in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, we can certainly meet at a coffee shop or equivalent to walk through any of the processes together and brainstorm ideas.
Otherwise, we can hop on a Skype, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom call anytime.
Not unless requested. I find it best to start from a clean, blank slate and build a custom experience. This also allows for clean and minimalistic design without having extra features brought over from a pre-designed template that will ultimately slow down a website.
While having experience with theme builders, especially Elementor, I prefer to use WordPress’s own theme builder to keep the core site speed high. If the project calls for a need for a theme builder or a current site already uses one, I can always work with them.
I do, but with the understanding that I am WordPress first as a developer. Many fundamentals can be brought over to any platform. With anything, there are always some pros and cons to proprietary services. I’ll help sort it out!
When creating a new website, it is always built with SEO in mind with optimized code that Google is looking for when crawling the web. In addition, Google services will be added such as Google Analytics. SEO needs to be revisited often and actively. A new site design will have you ready for your campaigns either run by you or a 3rd partner.
